Zefon Bio Tape Packs (Pack of 10)

Bio-Tape provides a standardized sampling method for quick determination of mould, microbial, bioaerosol, and inorganic dust contamination.

$- EX GST + $- EX GST per sample for Lab Sampling in Melbourne per pack

The Bio-Tape consists of a flexible plastic microscope slide with a pre-defined adhesive area. A centre-line marker on the slide aids the user in locating the centre when taking a sample. That allows for you to assist our laboratory analyst in finding the centre of each sample. Each slide is provided with a unique serial number for unique tracking and packed in a slide mailer to prevent cross contamination

NEW – Bio-Tape is now compatible with both optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). This provides the ability to perform optical and SEM analysis along with an x-ray analysis on the exact same air surface sample and exact same particles.

Please note Bio-Tape products have a limited shelf life

Features

  • Provides sample consistency and uniformity
  • Easier to handle than tape
  • Individually serialised for tracking
  • Prevents cross contamination
  • Eliminates problems of placing tape in a zip bad, or chance broken slides during transport
  • Requires less laboratory preparation time
  • Ideal for mould sampling and testing
  • Compatible with both optical microscopes and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)

Sampling Procedure:

  1. Remove slide from the provided slide mailer
  2. Document the sample location on the slide’s label and complete any required documentation for the laboratory
  3. Peel off protective liner from slide to expose adhesive
  4. Place slide with the adhesive side down on the surface to be sampled (Use the centering line to orient the adhesive over the exact sample location desired)
  5. Carefully and gently press down to ensure contact is made. Don’t press it down hard. The adhesive sticks very easily so it only needs to be pressed very lightly
  6. Carefully remove the slide from the surface and place it into the slide mailer. Do Not replace the plastic liner labeled “Peel”
  7. Send back the slide to the laboratory for analysis

Note: Multiple samples should be collected from both suspected area and a non-suspected area as a control
