Vomit is a large breeding ground for bacteria. The bacteria are the source of the odour. To effectively remove the smell of vomit and to sanitise your upholstery, carpets or rugs our special anti-bacterial treatment will be required.
Last week, at the McArdles Cleaning Services factory, a lady brought in a rug, which her son had vomited on, and she wanted us to clean vomit from the rug for her. She had tried to remove the odour and stain of the vomit herself, but was unsuccessful. Because the smell continued to be horrible, she rolled the rug up and placed it inside of her garage until she was able to bring it in for rug cleaning. It stayed there for over a week. By the time we received the rug, not only was the stain set in and the odour extremely strong, but also mould was completely covering the affected area of the rug.
Mould, as many know, is a type of fungi, which lives in plant and animal matter. It grows best in places that are damp and poorly ventilated, and reproduces by creating spores. There is no practical way to remove the entire mould from the inside of a home. The only way one can hope to control the growth of mould is to control the source of moisture that feeds it.
McArdles vomit odour treatment packages are available in Central West, Orange, Molong, Bathurst, Kelso, Oberon, Lithgow, Blayney, Cudal, Canowindra, Cowra, Forbes, Parkes, Wellington, Dubbo, Mid-West Regional, Weddin areas.
It is not always easy to recognise mould. Although sometimes mould looks like a type of fuzzy growth, it can also appear as a stain, smudge, or discolouration. Most commonly, the colours of mould are black, green, or white, but it can come in many other hues, such as grey, to orange, to brown. In most cases, if you see mould, it is best to call in a professional to get it removed and cleaned immediately. This is because mould is not only unhealthy, but it can damage whatever it grows on. The longer the mould grows; the more damage can be caused.
Clean Vomit From a Rug and Mould Removal Treatment
The rug, which the lady brought to us, had significant damage after just one week of being left with the vomit and mould on it. In order to clean vomit stains on the rug, the rug had to be completely submerged. An anti-bacterial treatment also had to be done in order to kill any bacteria that were caused by the mould. McArdles Cleaning Services are still working on this rug, but if the lady is lucky, we have caught the problem in time, and will be able to clean vomit stains and perform mould removal on this rug.
As a part of the carpet, upholstery and rug cleaning process our qualified and knowledgeable and trained technicians can come out and do an inspection on the area We at McArdles guarantee our service 100%; if you aren’t happy we will come back and re clean the area, and if your still not happy we will refund the money.
